After writing about Alan Rickman yesterday I got thinking about the brushes with fame/celebrity I've had in my lifetime. I've actually had a number of them. No autographs to show for it, but two photographs. Today when people meet celebrities they mostly want selfies, not autographs. My brushes are not just being in the same place as a celeb -- I've been in two stadiums when George W. Bush was there -- but by 'brush' I mean I actually spoke with them. Here's my list:
What brushes with fame have you had? Is there an interesting story to go with it? Who would you like to meet?
- John Anderson (Independent candidate, 1980 presidential election)
- Calista Flockhart & Harrison Ford (together)
- Lawrence Taylor (went to same school)
- Michael Jordan (went to same school)
- Governor Christine Whitman (NJ)
- Governor Mike Leavitt (Utah)
- Gary Sinise
